Support for survivors of domestic abuse

Abuse is not normal and never ok. If you are in a relationship with someone, you should feel loved, safe, respected and free to be yourself. If a relationship leaves you feeling scared, intimidated or controlled, it’s possible you’re in an abusive relationship. You can find out more and seek help by calling the Domestic Abuse Free Phone Service (DAFFS) on 0800 694 9999.

Alliance Living Support works in partnership with Chapter 1 to deliver group training courses to women who are experiencing or recovering from domestic abuse.

 Key to Change (course)

This is a free course which will help you to:

  • Understand how domestic abuse has affected your life
  • Rebuild your confidence and self-belief
  • Learn new skills in order to stay safe and move on positively in your life

All the women who attend are in recovery from a previous abusive relationship.

 My Kids And Me (course)

My Kids And Me is a free, parenting course for women who are in recovery from a previous abusive relationship.

To find out more about both courses, take a look at the leaflets in the related items section of this page.

The Support Alliance service is funded by North Somerset Council
