Our Strategic Leadership Team
Louise has worked within social housing for over 20 years, 12 of these at senior management level and she has extensive experience of contributing to strategic partnerships and of delivering major change and modernisation projects. Louise is also a member of the Alliance Board.
She is passionate about social justice and delivering services and homes that customers rate as excellent. Prior to joining the Group Louise was Executive Director Customer Services at Curo Group. Louise has also worked as Operations Director at Gloucester Housing Association and in a variety of roles for Somer Community Housing Trust, Guinness Trust and Knightstone Housing. She has also held a number of Non-Executive Director roles.
Katrina Michael - Chief Finance Officer
Katrina is a qualified finance and governance professional with over 20 years’ experience at director level and above. She has extensive experience of effecting business improvement and change management including the setting up of a new housing association as part of a stock transfer. More recently, Katrina has been responsible for a programme of business improvement for a housing group. Katrina is experienced at Board level having been a Non-Executive Director at various national organisations in Wales as well as working with Boards at an executive level.
In her current role Katrina has overall responsibility for finance, development and asset management.
Julian Paine - Chief Operating Officer
Julian is Alliance Homes’ Chief Operating Officer and has overall responsibility for customer experience. His role includes all tenancy, homeownership and support services. In addition, Julian is responsible for repairs and maintenance (via our Home Repairs Service partnership with United Communities and Bristol Community Land Trust) as well as marketing and communications.
With over 20 years’ varied experience, prior to joining Alliance, Julian was a consultant focussing on operational leadership, strategy, governance and organisational development.
His experience includes several director-level positions within a large housing association group and as a senior regulator of housing associations. He also has considerable experience as a non-executive director in the housing association, charitable and education sectors.
Jane Carne - Director of People & Change
Jane has over 20 years' experience in change management, stakeholder management, sales effectiveness, project management, consultancy, facilitation, Six Sigma and procurement.
Jane began her career in procurement and was previously Chief Procurement Officer at Cendant. More recently Jane has spent a number of years working with Travelport - a technology solutions provider for the global travel industry in roles including business change and sales and transformation.
Jane has worked in a variety of roles across Europe and the US helping companies to translate strategic initiatives into practical projects to deliver organisational growth, improve staff productivity and increase margins.
Philippa Armstrong-Owen - Director of Governance and Compliance
Pip is Alliance Homes’ Director of Governance and Compliance. Her role includes Board and Organisational Governance, Risk Management, Audit, Data Protection and scrutiny of Landlord and Employer Health and Safety matters.
She brings with her 10 years’ experience of working in the housing sector prior to joining Alliance, with a focus on embedding governance, corporate compliance and risk within the business.
She also has bring experience from the private sector where, as a qualified company secretary, she has worked for both FTSE top 50 and AIM listed companies.
Pip is the Group's Company Secretary.
