Support for employers with carers in your workforce

If you employ staff, one in nine of your employees at any moment in time will be caring for someone outside of work who is ill, frail or disabled.

The stress of trying to reconcile the demands of caring with paid employment means that one in every five carers will give up their paid employment. Given the age profile of carers, often these are your most experienced people. The impact on your business is increased recruitment costs and training costs. With the ageing population and the increasing incidence of conditions such as dementia and stroke, this problem is only going to get worse.

If you’re an employer we can work in partnership with you to provide free, practical help and support to unpaid carers in your workforce.
