Louise Swain - Group Chief Executive

Louise has been the Chief Executive and Board member of Alliance Homes, since 2016. She has worked within social housing at a senior level for over 20 years, in a number of housing associations. She has extensive experience of delivering new homes and delivering a range of housing, care and support services as well as contributing to strategic partnerships to improve local neighbourhoods. She has been the Chair of the Bristol Housing Partnership and is about to step into the role as the Chair of Homes for the South West, a group of chief executives from the largest housing associations in the South West, who are working together to identify and tackle the barriers to new housing across the region. She is passionate about social justice and delivering services and homes that customers rate as great places to live.

Iain Lock - Chief Operating Officer

Iain has over 12 years’ experience of property development and regeneration within the social housing sector. Iain is responsible for Alliance Homes' compliance with the social housing consumer standards. 

Prior to his role as Chief Operating Officer, he was Director of Investment for Alliance Homes. He’s also worked for Homes England, Bromford and Forward Swindon.

Iain is a Non-Executive Director and Chair for the Gloucester City Homes Commercial and Development Committee.

Claudette Marcano - Chief Finance Officer

Claudette is a CIMA qualified accountant with the Certificate in Treasury and joined Alliance Homes in October 2022 as Chief Finance Officer.

She brings with her extensive strategic and financial planning experience gained from over 20 years in finance roles within the public, housing and private sectors.

She joins us from Sapphire Independent Housing where she was Executive Finance Director and successfully led the finance team through a period of growth. Prior to that she worked in a range of leadership roles at Taylor Wimpey, One Housing and Notting Hill Housing.

As Chief Finance Officer, Claudette is responsible for finance, treasury, financial planning, procurement, performance reporting and strategic development.

Claudette is a trustee of the Finance and Fundraising Sub Committee at Hestia.

Philippa Armstrong-Owen - Director of Governance and Compliance

Pip is Alliance Homes’ Director of Business Services. Her portfolio covers a range areas including Board and organisational governance, risk management, internal audit, data protection, facilities, insurance, legal and scrutiny of landlord and employer health and safety compliance.

She brings with her over 13 years’ experience of working in the housing sector, with a focus on embedding governance, corporate compliance and risk within the business.

She also has experience from the private sector where, as a qualified company secretary, she has worked for both FTSE top 50 and AIM listed companies.

Pip is the Group's Company Secretary.

 

Helen Grantham – Director of People and Communications

Helen joined Alliance homes in August 2021 as Director of People.

Helen has over 20 years’ experience working across a variety of human resources disciplines and has held previous senior roles specifically focused on recruitment, talent management and organisational design. Much of Helen's experience has been gained within private sector organisations however she has also spent time working within the public sector.

As Director of People and Communications, Helen's role spans all aspects of human resources, communications, and the employee experience as well as investing in our people through learning and development opportunities as well as building culture.

Matt Bingham - Director of Digital & Change

Matt joined Alliance Homes in September 2021 as Director of Digital & Change.

He has 25 years’ experience working within technology, transformation and projects across a number of different sectors – commercial, MoD and social housing supply chain.

Most recently Matt was the IT Director at regional airline Flybe heading up the digital, technology and business change functions.

As Director of Digital & Change, Matt will help us to deliver on our digital roadmap to benefit our customers.
